REPORT ON SCIENTIFIC TRAINING PROGRAMME

SCS Hospital organised a scientific training session in accordance with the International Hand hygiene day on 10 th May 2018. Mr Sushobith Kundra from Schulke Company conducted the session. The main purpose was to inculcate knowledge regarding the basic practices of hand hygiene, instrument reprocessing and surface hygiene. The main aim of this program was to reduce and prevent nosocomial infections in the hospital.

The programme included a talk on instrument reprocessing, importance of hand hygiene and a Quiz session. Prizes were allotted to the winners. The staff nurses and paramedical staff participated in this session and found it very effective. Ms Zenia DSouza concluded the programme with the feedback with a note of appreciation.

• Work shop by Nestle Company on the topic Diarrhea in children.
• Cancer awareness talk by Dr E.V.S Maben , Consultant Physician held on February 2nd.
• Personality Development programme by Mr.VL Rego , Yogacharya and Leading Resource person.
• As a part of World Kidney day , talk by Dr. Prashanth Kumar famous Nephrologist on the topic Kidney diseases
• S.C.S. Hospital launched a New Department InteleICU , an advanced critical care facility monitored by the American Board Certified Intensivists in Chennai which is the first of its kind in the state of Karnataka on November 20th 2014.
• Work shop by Nestle company on the topic ‘ Care of Low Birth Weight Babies ‘
• As a part of World Diabetes Day talk on Diabetes Mellitus by Dr. Venugopala D and Free Diabetes and Neurology Detection Camp on 14th November
• On World Health Day, April 7th a free BP check up, ECG and cardiac check was organized by SCS Hospital from 9:00am to 12:00pm.
• Free Malaria test camp’ on April 25th as part of World Malaria Day
• March 14, 2013, World Kidney Day -Awareness talk on kidney related diseases from 8:00am to 9:00am by Dr.Sushanth Kumar, Nephrologist
• Free Diabetic Camp on 12/01/2013 with free medication to all participants at SCS Hospital
• Workshop on Diabetes and its Management by BD Medical on 01/02/2012 and 17/02/2012
• Hand Wash and Biomedical Waste Management by Cipla Company on 16/06/2012
